Lindt Outlet Store, Swindon Designer Outlet

I make no secret of the fact I love chocolate. It truly is my weakness, and ultimate comfort nibble for those times in need (ladies, you hear me?). I am rather fussy on my chocolate, but I tend to eat Cadbury's, now and then, and Hotel Chocolat, when I'm feeling a bit 'flush'. However one brand that never ceases to simply send me to the moon and back is Lindt.

Lindt, is a Swiss Chocolatier and Confectionery company founded in 1845 by Rudolf Sprungli-Ammann and David Sprungli-Schwarz. Chocolate in those days was not enjoyable; it was hard to process, chew and eat, lacked taste, therefore giving no enjoyment. It was those factors that provoked Rudolf and David to create a chocolate that was smooth, soft but simply melted with ease in your mouth.

The Lindt's MaƮtres Chocolatiers, real masters of their craft, are always striving to offer a chocolate that melts tenderly in your mouth and gently caresses all your senses.

Currently on the hunt for items for an outfit I am frantically trying to piece together for an event I am attending, I decided to venture to Swindon Village Outlet. I haven't been for a while, so I thought it would be a good idea to take a nosey / browse, and see what this outlet had to offer.
Whilst hopping from shop to shop, I spotted in the distance a Lindt shop. I kid you not, I did a double take as I'd never seen or heard of a Lindt shop appearing at an outlet before. Of course, once I 'clocked' the Lindt logo, I practically sprinted to the shop and then entered with my eyes getting wider and wider and wider, literally child in a sweet shop moment.

The aroma of chocolate that hits you when you enter this store, simply divine. Luxurious, sweet smelling and captivating. You are then greeted to every single Lindt chocolate you can ever imagine possible. I literally did not know where to go or look, even the Sales Advisor asked me ''Are you ok, madam?''. Once I had taken everything in, I took my time browsing around the store; discovering and learning about the 8 brands of Lindt, which are Lindor, Excellence, Creation, Hello, Master Chocolatier Selection, Swiss Luxury Selection, Gold Bunny, and Lindt Teddy Bear.  If money was unlimited, I could have quite easily spent an absolute fortunate, but I was very good and decided to only stick with the Lindor 'pick & mix' which had me in a complete and utter daze.

The truffles we all see in shops is the original; the perfectly created round ball with a silk smooth melting soft centre. However the pick & mix is literally your opportunity to push the boat out and try new flavours that are nowhere to be seen in your every day corner shop / supermarket. You name it, it's there; Irish cream, Hazlenut, Coffee, Strawberries and Cream, Dark Chocolate, Almond, Coconut, Caramel, Champagne, to name but a few.

Of course, Lindt we all know is not the cheapest of chocolates, but as it's an outlet prices are slightly cheaper. I didn't go mad in my selection (very hard not to), so opted for a bag (as pictured), and just filled to an amount I thought was reasonable. The Sales Advisor suggested if I selected a further 8 truffles, I would receive 15% off, which I did and this took my bill to £7.52. For the amount of truffles I had (32+ I think), I didn't think that was a bad price.

For me personally I am visiting outlet stores a lot more recently due to the amazing bargains to be found and great savings to be had. Lindt Outlet stores are dotted around the UK at most shopping outlets; Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, Swindon Village, Clarks Shopping Village Outlet, York Designer Outlet, and coming soon Gloucester Quays.

So if you are a fan of chocolate especially Lindt I cannot advise you enough to get yourself to an outlet store and simply be in awe of the variety and selection on offer in store. There is a flavour for every taste, whatever yours maybe, and for the outlet prices which aren't too bad, you can't complain.

Are you a Lindt fan? If so, what is your favourite flavour?

Would love to know your thoughts.
