Bliss Vanilla and Bergamot Body Buff

Bliss has always been a brand I wanted to try, but could never seem to find it stocked anywhere in my home town. However lucky for me one lunch time afternoon I popped into HomeSense and saw an abundance of Bliss products, literally a whole shelf full. Of course I didn't know what to look at, or what to go for, but I am always on the look out for good body scrubs. I don't know about you but I find some body scrubs are just meh; hyped up to be amazing, but when you use it, they do absolutely nothing. So when I saw the vanilla and bergamot body buff, I immediately snapped it up.

I simply cannot begin to tell you just how amazing this product is. It is an ultra-softening scrub paste, with shea butter and sweet almond oil. Laced with skin-smoothing vanilla bean pieces in a creamy like firm consistency. Divine, huh? Before use, I moisten my skin with warm water in the shower and lightly buff with either a body puff or exfoliating gloves. By doing this allows for the dead skin to lift, which in effect will make the body scrub work that bit extra for you. I then take a good sized amount and from head to toe start buffing away. Once completely 'scrubbed', I simply rinse with warm water and towel dry.

I kid you not my skin afterwards is incredibly smooth and soft, it's like I have unearthed a new body. Also the smell is amazing; mainly the vanilla and sweet almond oil lingering for days (no joke). To maintain the smooth skin, I ensure I use a good moisturiser, especially during the winter (I mainly use Soap and Glory Righteous Butter, mixed with raw shea butter; great oil to lock moisture into the skin). What I also love about this product is it is non stripping on the skin, and it is ideal for all skin types, especially those who suffer with dry skin.

The RRP for this  . . .wait for it . . . is £30.00. Expensive, HOWEVER . . because the item unfortunately is not easily available online / in stores, places like TKMaxx and HomeSense from time to time stock it. I tend to wait for both stores to have new stock deliveries each week before venturing in to store and grabbing myself a few tubes. Because TKMaxx and HomeSense are renowned for selling good quality items are amazing prices, I managed to get this for . . .£6.99!!! Absolute bargain!!

Over the years I have tried a variety of body scrubs, and I have to say this one beats all. Since use my skin has never felt so smooth and soft in a long time, thanks to this gentle but gorgeous scented body scrub. Although there is 340g of product in this tub, which some may say isn't a lot, used sensibly a reasonable amount goes a long way, therefore lasting you a while. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a body scrub that is kind to skin, not harsh or loaded full of ingredients, then this is the scrub for you (if you are patient enough to wait and hope HomeSense / TKMaxx have stock).

Have you tried Bliss Vanilla and Bergamot Body Buff? What body scrubs do you use, or are you not a fan?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

  2. Oooh nice, this sounds amazing! I love body butters, they work so well on my skin and I love vanilla-scented products. TK Maxx sells some great beauty and skincare products so I pop in there from time to time. Next time I visit, I'll have a look for Bliss. :)

    1. Definitely keep your eyes peeled in TKMaxx for this, as it really is a bargain, and it is amazing on the skin, like literally divine! :)
